My NAB colleague, close friend and all around good guy Mike Khatcheressian (aka Mike Collins), who is also co-founder and a long-time podcaster who produces the Coaster Radio podcast, had an opportunity to present a session on low-cost podcast production at the Broadcast Education Association’s annual conference in Las Vegas on April 6, 2019. Our rock star panel included author and radio evangelist Valerie Geller, and was moderated by the equally awesome North Texas University journalism professor Brenda Jaskulske.

The focus of our presentation was providing a path to help educators and students get their own podcasts up and running on a budget that doesn’t break the bank. Here’s the slide deck we presented, and links to the products are provided below. Disclaimer: Please note that these are recommendations, not must-haves. You may be able to shop around and find cheaper prices, but we wanted to give attendees a place to begin.
